I am Yuichiro Nishibe, working as a research associate at Tohoku National Fisheries Research Institute, Fisheries Research Agency, Japan. I have joined the SKED project from April 2012. Much of my research interests have focused on population and community ecology of small marine pelagic copepods, especially non-calanoid taxa. My ongoing research within the project includes understanding the feeding ecology of copepods associated with marine snow aggregates and their functional roles in the pelagic food web in the Kuroshio region, and also investigating the spatial and temporal variations of mesozooplankton community structure in the area.
